NO NEED FOR ANESTHESIA
Air abrasion is a technique used to remove decay and perform other dental procedures without the use of a drill or the need for anesthesia. It is an ideal choice for patients who suffer from fear of needles or who dont like the sound, smell or vibration of the drill.
Air abrasion can reduce treatment time by half, provides effective and precise care and eliminates the discomfort of being numb for hours.

It works like a mini sandblaster used to spray away decay. During the treatment a particle stream of silica, aluminum oxide or baking soda are aimed to the tooth surface by compressed air. As the stream of particles strikes the decay it is removed and suctioned away.
The procedure is relatively simple and quick and is best suited for removing small cavities that form on the surface of the tooth. The best candidates are children or those who are very fearful and when minimal decay is involved.
